SIX GOAL VICTORY FOR THE COD ARMY

Seventh played nineteenth in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One yesterday evening and the result went to form with Codicote recording a comfortable 6-0 home victory against Stony Stratford Town. The result leaves Stony with an away recorded of played eleven and lost 11 scoring just seven goals and letting in fifty-three. It has now been a full calender year since they won on the road in a league fixture back on Tuesday 8th January 2013 when they won 0-4 at New Bradwell St Peter. The only point they have picked up came in a 0-0 draw at Amersham Town on the 6th April. The visitors were very unlucky not to make the score 1-1 when a fantastic shot from outside of the box rebounded off the angle of bar and post.

Could February be the month when Town gain three points of their travels as they have two trips to teams around them in the table Langford (20th place) and Arlesey Town Res (18th) - both have only one win in twenty one matches played. They also have trips to FC Broxbourne Borough and Bedford.
