SEVEN GOALS FOR HODDY AT THE MIGHTY K'S

Three pictures which show this match was real grass-root's football
The Knebworth substitute brings on the 'S**t Shovel" as an irresponsible dog owner had not picked up what their pet had left behind on the pitch.

The dug outs at Knebworth Recreation Ground along with the crowd, substitutes and management watching the game unfold on an overcast and cloudy day in Hertfordshire.

It's bad enough they lost 1-7 but some of The Mighty K's player's had to take down the goal-posts after the game.
Knebworth Reserves of the Hertfordshire Senior County League Reserve and Development South and West Division welcomed Hoddesdon Town Reserves of the Spartan South Midlands League Reserve Division One in the Hertfordshire FA Intermediate Cup yesterday afternoon.

The game went to form as Hoddy Reserves, who are currently top of their division having won seven of their ten league games, ran in seven goals to The Mighty K's one. Knebworth are currently second bottom of their division (tenth of eleven teams) winning just one of their five league games played so far.

Hoddesdon Town reserves travel to play Sawbridgeworth Town reserves in the second round scheduled for Saturday 16th November where Enfield Town U21s also enter the competition with a home game against Hadley Reserves who recorded a 0-5 victory at Berkhamsted Reserves yesterday. The game was watched by between 10-20 people and was a great example of real grass roots football. Knebworth's team deserve much credit for playing the game in the right spirit and smiling lots despite being well beaten on the day. The half time score was 1-3 and it should of been 2-3 in the opening moments of the second half when the home side struck the post with a deflected shot and then with the whole goal to hit the Knebworth player unbelievably hit the post again when it seemed easier to score as you'll see in the replay on 6mins 30secs on the video. Definitely a strong contender for miss of the season!!
