THE COLD END GAME OF THE DAY is Torquay United v Tranmere Rovers. A clash of two former football league sides - The Gulls have struggled over the past two seasons only narrowly missing out on relegation to the South Division with Rovers losing the play-off final at Wembley to Forest Green Rovers last season. They are firm favourites for the title this season at 5/2 with most bookmakers and are 3/4 to win this game. The home side are 150/1 for the title and 7/2 for a victory in this one. Can Tranmere make a winning start to the season or could they suffer a defeat in the South-West of England?

THE COLD END GAME OF THE DAY is Salford City v Darlington which will attract a huge crowd to Moor Lane. It's see's the Northern Premier League Premier Division play-off winners of 2016 play the winners of 2017. City are 3/1 favourites for the title having lost to FC Halifax Town in the play-off semi-final last season which was their first in the division. Darlington were re-formed in 2012 and have since been promoted three times in four seasons. Could they make it a fourth in 2017/18? They are rated at 14/1 for the title. 

A home win is 15/16 with a draw rated at 14/5 and an away win at 17/5.

THE COLD END GAME OF THE DAY is Eastbourne Borough v Braintree Town who are two new look teams for the season. Both managers will know each other well having faced each other in the Isthmian League over the past few seasons as manager of Bognor Regis Town (Jamie Howell) and Enfield Town (Bradley Quinton). The Sports warmed up for the game with a 1-4 away win at Lewes in their final friendly with The Iron winning 2-0 at home to a Reading XI thanks to goals from Shane McLoughlin and Billy Crook. A home win is 6/5 with an away victory at 15/8 and a draw at 12/5.
