STILL NO WINS FOR ST FRANCIS RANGERS BUT A CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT

The Cold End brought to you news of Southern Combination League Premier Division side St Francis Rangers and their win-less record a few weeks ago. Since then Rangers have parted company with then boss Kai Bichard and recruited League Tow Barnet FC's head of recruitment Joe Monks as new manager who has signed a number of new players all aged between 17 and 22 - a number from The Bee's academy.  

Today was Monk's first game in charge as they welcomed Eastbourne Town and their brilliant fans, who you can follow on twitter at the above link, to The Colwell Ground. Town recorded a 0-9 victory - they are currently top of the division and looking at a return to Ryman League football which they left in 2014.

So it's twenty four games so far and twenty four defeats along with -165 goal difference! Next weekend they make the journey to eighth placed Pagham looking for that illusive draw or even a victory.

    I was at the St. Francis Rangers vs. Eastbourne Town game on Saturday. Unfortunately new manager Joe Monks was ill so couldn't be there (you couldn't make it up, really). However, it's worth noting that three of the goals Rangers conceded were in the first 15 minutes, and a further three in the last 15 minutes when they were visibly tiring. In between there were actually some positive signs, and they had a few half chances themselves, so perhaps all is not yet lost.
