There are two fixtures which stand out from the fixture list this weekend in the Ryman Premier Division as Dulwich Hamlet (1st) travel to Tonbridge Angels (4th) and Billericay Town (3rd) welcome Leiston (5th) to The New Lodge. That's four of the top five playing against each other with the only exception being Hampton and Richmond Borough (2nd) going to Leatherhead (16th).

Fifth placed Kingstonian will be looking to get back to winning ways at home to relegation threatened Farnborough. The K's have lost their last two games against East Thurrock United (1-4) and Dulwich Hamlet (1-5).  Sixth placed Wingate have had a horrible Chtistmas period with two home defeats to Met Police and Enfield Town - their only win since the beginning of December was a 1-2 away win at Staines Town. They face Hendon at Earlsmead tomorrow who go into the game on the back of that amazing 5-5 draw with Harrow Borough where they were 1-4 up after only 21 minutes of the game.

The form sides are Enfield Town and Hampton & Richmond Borough winning five and losing just one of their last six league games. Ironically the two defeats were both against East Thurrock United who are in fourth place of the form table on 13pts just below Billericay Town on 14pts in third.

VCD Athletic are also in the top six of the form table winning 4, drawing 1 and losing just once in their last six games. The relegation threatened side are making a fight of it gaining 68.42% of their total points over the last six games. The Vickers go to Staines Town tomorrow whom they knocked out of the FA Trophy earlier in the season. The Swans are bottom of the form table with five defeats in six along with Canvey Island who have lost their last four games in a row.

Some would say bottom side Lewes look doomed to relegation as they are now sixteen points off of safety and have only scored three times in their last six games. The Rooks two league victories this season have come 0-4 away to Hampton and Richmond Borough in September and in the recent 1-0 home win against fellow struggler's Farnborough. Boss Darren Freeman (who took Whitehawk from the Sussex County League to the Conference South) joined in October - I'm sure his experience will see a much improved second half of the season at The Dripping Pan so anything is possible. If they are relegated they will return to the Division One (South) they left in 2003/04 on the start of their journey to non-league's top table. To get to 49 points (14/15 - 49  pts would of seen you safe, 13/14 - 50 pts would of seen you safe) they would have to have gain a total of 38 points out of the remaining 57 they have on offer which is a total of 2 points per game - their current average is 0.41 points pet game.

The below chart shows the points per game total for the current top twelve teams - it shows there is no real stand out team on over 2 points per game this season. With a good run of form any team can push for the play-offs.
Further below we see the points per game for the last eight games played for the current top twelve teams which may show who is hitting form (Dulwich, H&R, Billericay, East Thurrock and Enfield Town all at 2ppg or over) at the right time.
