LOCAL DERBY IN THE MIDDLESEX CHARITY CUP SEMI-FINAL

Enfield Town's 1-3 victory at Ashford Town (Middlesex) and Cockfoster's 2-1 home victory versus Staines Lammas sets up a derby match for local football fans to look forward to as it'll be Enfield Town v Cockfosters (of the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division) in the semi-final of the Middlesex FA Help for Heroes Charity Cup.

The other semi-final is a bit of an either/or affair at present with the winner's of the quarter-final's between Wembley and Harrow Borough & Uxbridge and Rayners Lane due to play to face the winner's of Enfield Town v Cockfosters in the final.

There has been lots of change at Chalk Lane recently as the management team of Mick Roche and ex Towner Fabio Valenti left to join Edgware Town (who play one step lower in Division One of the SSMFL) with a a large number of the first team squad also leaving the club. New manager Mark Mezen and his assistant Simon Blackmore have been given the job to rebuild the side and since the beginning of December the first team have only played two league games, which were both defeats against Wembley and Ampthill Town. They have also played the game versus Staines Lammas on Tuesday and in the London Senior Cup at home to Erith and Belvedere which ended in a decent 1-0 victory.

They face a home tie versus Ryman Division One (South) side Tooting and Mitcham United in the LSC Quarter-Final on Tuesday 27th January and an away trip to Holmer Green in the SSMFL Premier Division Cup Quarter-Final a week later so it'll be a few weeks of exciting cup football for Foster's fans.

The date for the Charity Cup semi-final is yet to be decided where everyone at Enfield Town will look forward to welcoming Cockfosters on their first visit to Donkey Lane.
