WEEKEND PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY FIXTURES

Last weekend saw a few pre-season friendly games take place as previewed on The Cold End.

The Wycombe Wanderer even managed to take in two games at Whitstable (versus Dagenham and Redbridge) and Faversham Town (versus Gillingham). The Dagger's side which recorded a 0-4 victory included ex Enfield Town reserve player Tyler Christian-Law who started the game and ex Hastings United player Bradley Goldberg on the bench.

The Sealand International side won 8-3 versus a team from The London Turkish FA on the 3G pitch at Thamesmead Town's Bayliss Avenue. Sealand are currently coached by ex Grays Athletic boss Julian Dicks.

As you can see there are a few more games taking place this weekend. Cockfosters start their pre-season with a trip to the newly named Bushey Sports Club (formerly Metropolitan Police Bushey) and their are two games scheduled for the Middlesex Stadium with Hillingdon Borough (Bedfont Sports) and Southall playing new Essex Senior team FC Romania. There are several pitches at the ground so I would say one of these games will take place outside of the main stadium. Please check with club websites/twitter if you are going to make the journey anywhere as with all pre-season friendly games venues and kicks off change sometimes.

A little bit of history will be made at Vale Farm when newly merged Bedfont and Feltham FC play their first ever game when they face Wembley.

If your a Romford football fan the place to be is the Ford Sports Ground in Newbury Park as it's a 'ROMFORD FOOTBALL DAY' as three practise matches take place as follows - 12midday - Romford Reserves v Romford Under 18s 1.30pm - Romford First Team v Romford Reserves 3pm - Romford First Team v Romford Under 18s There will also be youth team and girls team games going on the special family day which is a really good occasion for the club.

There is one game taking place tonight (Tuesday) involving a Ryman Premier Division club when Hampton and Richmond Borough travel to Combined Counties Division One side Spelthorne Sports. Kick off is at 7.15pm and admission is a mere £2!
